On April 30, 2012, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Hollywood patrol officers began to pick up the silent LoJack homing signal from a 2007 Yamaha YZF R-1 reported stolen minutes earlier to the LAPD-Northeast Division. Following the directional and signal strength cues on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in their patrol vehicles, the officers
