On November 1, 2012, the owners of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra contacted the Denver Police Department to report the vehicle stolen. The owners had been alerted to the theft by LoJack Early Warning from their LoJack Vehicle Recovery System. The police verified the theft and entered the Hyundai’s information into the state and federal crime

On May 29, 2012, the owner of a 2012 Hyundai Tuscon contacted the San Francisco Police Department to report the vehicle stolen. The victim stated that his family had been enjoying a vacation in San Francisco, and had parked their vehicle at the Golden Gate Park. When they returned for it, they discovered it missing.

On May 21st the owners of a brand-new 2012 Hyundai Sonata contacted the Pueblo Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen during the nighttime from their home in Northwest Pueblo. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder
