The owner had recently purchased the vehicle from Car Mart in North Houston, and was unaware that his SUV was equipped with a LoJack Vehicle Recovery System.

On August 18, 2012, the owner of a 2008 Land Rover Range Rover contacted the Cobb County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a building complex in Marietta, Georgia.
