The Fremont, CA residents in this case discovered their Audi S4 missing from their home on a recent Sunday. Thanks to the great work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system installed in the vehicle, it was recovered in less than a half hour after activation.

On April 13th, 2014, the Audi’s owners reported the crime to the Fremont Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the S4, which was installed at Anderson-Bethel Imports in San Jose, CA.

A short while later, officers with the Fairfield and Suisun City Police Departments picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Audi was located traveling near Texas and Pennsylvania Streets. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, then retrieved the S4 and soon returned it to its happy owners.
