On a recent Saturday, a 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXL was stolen from its owner’s residence in San Diego, CA. This victim was smart enough to protect his asset- he had the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his vehicle. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the car that same day, quickly and safely.

On March 22nd, 2014, the Buick’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the LaCrosse, which was installed at the Marvin K. Brown Auto Center in San Diego, CA.

Less than a half hour later, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The Buick was located on East 8th Street. It was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
