The Baltimore, MD residents in this case not only had their home burglarized, but had their 2010 Ford Focus stolen as well. Thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, police were able to track the vehicle down in less than four and a half hours, and apprehend the thief as well.

On January 10th, 2014, the Ford’s owner contacted the Baltimore City Police to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Focus, which was installed at Koons Ford in Baltimore, MD, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Ford on Price Avenue in Baltimore and arrested the driver, who was also in possession of items taken during the burglary. The undamaged Focus was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners.
