It was just around dinner time on a Friday evening when these Utah residents discovered their Honda CR-V was missing. Thanks to the LoJack® system installed in their SUV, local law enforcement recovered it in less than two hours after activation.

On January 3rd, 2014, the Honda’s owners contacted the South Salt Lake Police, where a theft report was filed.  After verifying the theft, officers entered the vehicle’s information into the state and national stolen vehicle file. The LoJack transponder concealed in the CR-V, which was installed at Norm Reeves Honda in Los Angeles, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, Utah Highway Patrol troopers began picking up the homing signal from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Troopers quickly located the Honda parked and abandoned. The CR-V was soon returned to its thankful owners.
