When the owner of a 2004 Nissan Frontier King Cab pickup truck discovered that his vehicle had been stolen on the morning of January 4, 2012, he immediately reported the theft to the Chula Vista Police Department.

The investigating officer immediately contacted his dispatch center to enter the stolen vehicle in the system as the registered owner advised him the Frontier was equipped with LoJack.  The investigating officer was still interviewing the victim when his beat partner called him to advise that the LoJack silent homing signals were picked up by his ground unit on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in the patrol car.  Five minutes later, the Frontier pickup truck was recovered, abandoned in the 3200 block of Bonita Road.

This Nissan Frontier had been installed with LoJack seven-years ago in National City, California. The current owner was happy that his Nissan Frontier had LoJack and even happier when the police recovered his vehicle as he was still being interviewed. Best of all, he was driven to the location where the vehicle was recovered, undamaged, and was able to drive it home.
