It was late on a recent Monday morning when the Denver, CO residents in this case discovered their Honda Accord was not where they had parked it the previous evening.  The LoJack® system installed when the car was purchased proved its worth by helping local law enforcement recover it that same day.

The Honda’s owners contacted the Denver Police to report that their vehicle was stolen on December 16th, 2013. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers.  This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Bay Ridge Honda in Brooklyn, NY.

A short while later, officers with the Denver PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Honda to East 5th Avenue where it was parked and abandoned. The Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
