The Anaheim, CA residents in this case were dismayed to find their Toyota Corolla missing from their driveway late one Tuesday morning. Thanks to the LoJack® system these victims chose to have installed when purchasing their vehicle, local law enforcement recovered their car in less than two and a half hours after activation.

On November 12th, 2013, the Toyota’s owners contacted the Anaheim Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Tustin Toyota in Tustin, CA.

A short while later, ground and air officers with the Anaheim PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopter. The officers located the stolen Toyota traveling southbound on Anaheim from Ball Road. A vehicle stop was conducted and three subjects were arrested.  The Corolla was soon returned to its very happy owners.
