The owners of a Jeep Wrangler in Denver, CO, were horrified to discover that their car had been stolen overnight while they slept. Their local police were able to help by activating the LoJack® system hidden in the vehicle and recovering it, with LoJack’s help, in less than an hour.

On October 16th, 2013, the Jeep’s owners contacted the Denver Police and filed an auto theft report.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Wrangler, which was installed at Power Chrysler Jeep in Scottsdale, AZ, was then automatically activated.

Less than an hour later officers with the Sheridan PD and the Denver PD began picking up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to the West Floyd Avenue where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Jeep was soon returned to its greatly relieved owners.
