In this case, the owner of a Honda Accord started her car and left it running to warm up before she went to work. When she was ready to leave, her vehicle had already left without her, thanks to an enterprising thief. Our victim was grateful she chose to have the LoJack® system installed when she bought her car, because her local police, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover her Accord that same day.
On October 22nd, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Bridgeton Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the car’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Avalon Honda in Cape May Court House, NJ.
A short time later, a patrol officer from the Bridgeton PD picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the Honda to a corn field where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was soon returned to its grateful owner.
