The victim in this case had his 2012 Harley Davidson FXS motorcycle stolen from his San Diego, CA residence one Tuesday afternoon. The LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing his bike not only helped police recover it in less than two hours, but also helped locate three other stolen motorcycles as well.

On July 23rd, 2013, the Harley’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his motorcycle was stolen. SDPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the bike, which was installed at San Diego Harley Davidson in San Diego, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, SDPD officers and deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the motorcycle to Spring Valley, where the FXS was found parked inside an open residential garage along with three other stolen bikes. One suspect was arrested, and the undamaged Harley was soon returned to its happy owner.
