Imagine that your car was stolen from your residence in the middle of the night. It’s a pretty scary thought. Now imagine that this was the second time your car was stolen in a month and a half. Now you know how the Renton, WA resident in this case felt. The LoJack® system turned out to be a great investment for this customer, as it helped local police recover the car in a little over two hours.

On July 19th, 2013, the Honda’s owner reported the crime to the Renton Police Department. Renton PD entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Klein Honda in Everett, WA.

A short time later, a Seattle PD officer received the homing signal transmitting from the Honda on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the car, parked and abandoned at Marcus Avenue South and South Fletcher. It was returned to its very relieved owner with no visible damage. This same car was stolen on June 2nd, 2013, and recovered with LoJack in Tukwila, WA.
