It doesn’t matter who stole your car, truck or motorcycle- whether they are someone you know or a complete stranger- if you have the LoJack® System installed, your local police have a great advantage in tracking your vehicle quickly.

On April 27, 2013, the owner of a 2007 Ford Edge had her home burglarized.  The suspect took her car keys and her credit cards and drove away in her vehicle.  She contacted the Garland, TX police to report the theft, telling them she suspected her ex-husband, who has a drug problem.

The Garland PD verified the burglary and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Edge, which was installed at Prestige Ford in Garland, TX.

A short while later, officers from the Garland PD picked up the homing signals from the Ford on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to a fast food restaurant parking lot, with a man and woman sitting inside it.  The couple claimed they had purchased the vehicle from a friend, who is also the ex-husband of the car’s owner.  This stolen Ford was recovered with no damage, and was soon returned to its relieved owner.
