Many of us enjoy sleeping in on the weekends. It’s great to have a day when you don’t have to rush to be somewhere. However, a ‘lazy Sunday’ can soon turn into a ‘crazy Sunday’ when you exit your home and find your vehicle missing. The owner of a Honda Accord in Portland, Oregon found himself in this unfortunate situation.

The victim parked his car in front of his residence around 7:15 p.m. on April 6th, 2013.  The next afternoon, he noticed it was gone.  He immediately reported the theft to the Portland, Oregon Police, who verified the information and entered the VIN (vehicle identification number) into their local and national crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Honda World in Westminster, California.

A short while later, Portland Police officers received the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer in their patrol cars.  The abandoned Honda was located on SW 4th Avenue.  It was soon returned to its owner, who was very glad he chose to have a LoJack system installed when he bought his Accord.
