LoJack Helps San Jose Police Recover Stolen Honda CRV, Found Undamaged

On January 25, 2013, the owner of a 2008 Honda CRV discovered that his vehicle was stolen from where he parked it in San Jose, California. San Jose Police verified the crime information and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle. LoJack is the only theft recovery system that is directly operated by law enforcement and this interface is seamless and instantaneous.
A short while later, officers with the San Jose Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. The LoJack PTC provides officers with on-board information which permits them to locate the stolen vehicle quickly and with an increased margin of safety.
Following the directional and signal strength cues on the LoJack computers, the San Jose Police tracked the stolen Honda to a street, where they found the abandoned and undamaged Honda. The owner was notified to respond and take possession of his vehicle.
