LoJack Helps San Diego Police Recover Stolen Mercedes Benz, Abandoned and Undamaged

On January 12, 2013, the owner of a Mercedes Benz ML320 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of San Diego.
San Diego Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Mercedes Benz.
Within a few hours, officers from the San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Mercedes Benz ML320 on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked and located the vehicle in the 3800 block of Hemlock Street in San Diego.
The owner was very happy when San Diego Police contacted him to recover the vehicle, which was found abandoned and undamaged. The vehicle was valued at approximately $6,975.00.
