LoJack Aids Rockwall Police in Recovering Ford F350 Stolen with Fraudulent Credit Card, 1 Arrested

On September 6, 2012, the owner of a 2008 Ford F-350 Flatbed contacted the Rowlette Police Department to report that the truck had been rented and never returned. It was determined that the flatbed was rented with a fraudulent credit card.
Rowlette Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the truck.
A short while later, officers from the Rockwall Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Ford on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle and observed it being driven southbound on Ridge Road. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and arrest the driver. The stolen Ford was recovered with no damage.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the 2008 Ford F350 in February of 2008 at Home Depot.
