LoJack Helps Adams County Deputies Recover Stolen Dodge Ram Pickup Truck

On August 25, 2012, the owners of a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck contacted the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle was stolen. Adams County officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the pickup. LoJack is the only theft recovery system that is directly operated by law enforcement and this interface is seamless and instantaneous.
A short while later, deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) installed in their patrol vehicles. The LoJack PTC provides officers with on-board information which permits them to locate the stolen vehicle quickly and with an increased margin of safety.
Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack PTCs, the deputies tracked the vehicle to the 2300 block of West 76th Avenue, where the truck was recovered at an apartment building.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Dodge Ram in August of 2004 in New Jersey.
