The owner of a 2005 Takeuchi Skid Steer reported to East Point Police his Tractor stolen from his Jobsite where he had it secured. Once East Point Police verified the theft, they entered the vehicle’s information into the NCIC system, which automatically activated the hidden LoJack in the vehicle.

After being entered as stolen Officers from Atlanta Police unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Skid Steer with the LoJack Tracking Computers (PTC’s) installed in their vehicles and Air Units. After searching the area where they picked up the signal, they were able to find the vehicle behind a vacant residence in Atlanta. The Skid Steer was recovered without any damage and returned to the owner.

The owner of the Skid Steer did not know that the vehicle was equipped with LoJack. He had purchased the unit from another company. After learning that his Skid Steer was recovered using LoJack he has now inquired about purchasing LoJack for his other six pieces of equipment.

The LoJack® System was installed in the vehicle as a commercial install in September 2005 in Atlanta, Ga.
