LoJack System Helps Rutgers University Police Department Recover a Stolen 2017 Ford F250 Flatbed

The owners of a 2017 Ford F250 Flatbed (Rental Truck) called the South Brunswick Police Department to report that one of their rental vehicles was missing from their inventory. The South Brunswick Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Ford F250 Flatbed.

A short while later, officers from the Rutgers University Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal that was coming from the stolen Ford, with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in  patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot on the Campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway. The vehicle was recovered abandoned and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Ford F250 Flatbed, in April 2017 by a Commercial Customer in N.J.
