LoJack System Helps Crete Police Department Recover Stolen Doosan T550 Bobcat Track Loader Stolen Out of Chicago

The owner of a 2018 Doosan T550 contacted the Chicago Police Department to report that their Doosan had not been returned. The supposed jobsite and residence were checked with negative response. Chicago Police verified facts on scene and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later a Crete squad car equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Doosan. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Doosan was located on a job site for new residential construction on the 300 block of Greenbrier in Crete. In an attempt to conceal the identity of the Doosan it had been covered with a tarp and all identifying stickers had been removed. The Doosan was recovered undamaged. Police investigation continues.

Crete police recovered the 2018 Doosan T550 on scene. The owner responded and recovered their equipment.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Doosan T550 in June of 2018 as a commercial installation.
