LoJack System Helps the Davie Police Department Recover Stolen 2006 Dodge Durango

The owners of a 2006 Dodge Durango contacted the Miami Gardens Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen after they left exited a local business and found that their vehicle was gone. The Miami Gardens Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Durango.

Approximately 65 minutes later a K-9 officer from the Miami Gardens Police Department, on his way to work, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Durango with his LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from his PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to the Davie Road Extension and 38th Street where he recovered the vehicle and notified the Davie Police to respond.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Durango in January, 2007 at The Tropical Financial Credit Union in Miami, Florida.
