LoJack System Helps Passaic County Sheriff’s Department Recover a Stolen 2017 Jeep Wrangler

The owner of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler called the Newark Police Department to report that sometime during the night his Jeep was stolen from his driveway in the City of Newark.

The Newark Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Jeep Wrangler.

A short while later, officers from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Jeep with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicle.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot on Old Turnpike Road in Wayne Township. The vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Jeep Wrangler in September of 2017 at Route 46 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Little Falls, N.J.
