The owner of a 2016 Hyundai Accent contacted the Oceanside Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Oceanside.

The Oceanside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyundai.

Within a short while, officers from the Oceanside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hyundai with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Hyundai to the 1600 block of Myers Blvd in the city of Oceanside.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hyundai Accent in August 2016 at North County Hyundai in Carlsbad, California.
