The owners of a 2017 Nissan Sentra contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Lakewood.

The Los Angeles SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

At a later time, officers from the Riverside Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of Wells Avenue and Harold Drive in the city of Riverside. Further investigation revealed the Nissan had been purchased with fraudulent Identification; the suspect was arrested for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and identity theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Sentra in September 2017 at Riverside Metro Auto Group in California.
