The owners of a 2008 Mercedes E350 contacted the Leominster Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Leominster PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later officers from the Arlington Police Department and troopers from the Massachusetts State Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, an officer from the Arlington PD tracked the Mercedes to a residential area of Arlington and located and recovered the stolen Mercedes.

The LoJack ®System was installed in the Mercedes E350 in March 2010 at Herb Chambers Mercedes in Natick, Massachusetts.
