The owner of this Dodge Charger discovered that his vehicle had been stolen sometime during the night and reported the theft to the Lindsay Police Department. The Lindsay PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

About one hour after the LoJack was activated, an officer with the Lindsay PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the moving vehicle to a convenience store/gas station near Spruce Road and Highway 65, southwest of Lindsay. The officer stopped the Dodge in the parking lot and found it occupied by an adult male suspect. The suspect was detained without incident. The suspect was questioned and later arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property. The Dodge was recovered intact and undamaged; it was released to the owner at the scene of the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Dodge Charger in January 2006 at Victorville Motors in California.
