The owners of a 2008 Infiniti FX3 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 9100 block of Eagle Hills Drive. The owners had parked the Infiniti in front of their residence and left it unlocked and left the key fob inside of the vehicle. They went into the residence for a time and when they came back out they found the Infiniti missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infiniti to the parking lot of a hospital in the 1700 block of Village Center Circle. The Infiniti was unoccupied, unharmed and was recovered by the officers and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti FX3 in October 2007 at Crest Auto Group in Plano, Texas.
