The renter of a 2017 Wacker roller contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that the roller was stolen. The renter left the roller at a job site overnight and when he returned found the roller missing.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Wacker roller.

Later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Wacker roller with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen roller to a storage facility in the 5400 block of Lemmon Avenue.  When the officers gained entry into the storage facility, they found the stolen roller on top of a trailer in an open storage area.  The trailer belongs to the suspect.  This is an ongoing investigation.  The roller was recovered in good condition.
