The dealership reported to the Gwinnett County Police Department that a 2017 Toyota Tundra had been taken off of the dealership lot.

The Gwinnett County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later a Fulton County Police Department officer began receiving the silent LoJack signal coming  from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the signal to an apartment complex where the stolen Toyota Tundra was located abandoned and in good condition. Also found at the same location was a 2017 Toyota Highlander that was also missing from the dealership that had not been reported missing.  A detective was called to the scene for further information and possible arrest.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in May 2017 at Atlanta Toyota in Gwinnett, Georgia.
