The owner of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Jurupa Valley.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within 5 minutes, deputies from the Riverside County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Chevrolet to the area of Canal Drive and Pacific Ave in Jurupa Valley. A traffic stop was made; one suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado in December 2006 at Singh Chevrolet in Riverside, California.
