This Audi Q7 SUV was stolen in the morning hours from the owner’s apartment complex located in the 15100 block of SE Stark SE and 148th Street in Portland.  When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Portland Police Bureau who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Just fifteen minutes later, a Portland PB officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, he tracked the Audi to SE 97th and SE Sunnyside Road where it was located abandoned.  The only observed damage was to the right rear bumper area.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Audi Q7 in November 2010 at Dick Hannah Volkswagen in Vancouver, Washington.
