The owners of a 2008 Lexus IS250 contacted the Carlsbad Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the city of Carlsbad.
The Carlsbad PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.
Within 30 minutes, officers from the Carlsbad PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to the 6400 block of Willow Place in the city of Carlsbad.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus IS250 in September 2010 at Lexus Carlsbad in California.
