The owners of a 2015 Ford F150 pickup contacted the Converse Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway during the overnight period.

The Converse PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A few minutes after the pickup was entered into the stolen vehicle computer a Converse PD officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to a location just outside of the city limits parked between trees in an open field behind a subdivision. Officers involved in the tracking of the signal stated that without LoJack the Ford would most likely never have been found for several days. The Ford was released to the grateful owner who was thankful he had purchased the LoJack® System with his new truck.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 in January 2016 at Jordan Ford in San Antonio, Texas.
