The owners of a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus contacted the Methuen Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Methuen PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

A short while later troopers from the Andover Barracks picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Chrysler to Broadway in the City of Lawrence and recovered the vehicle.

This is the second time in the last three months that this Chrysler has been stolen and recovered utilizing the LoJack signal.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler Cirrus in April 1999 at Clark Chrysler in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
