LoJack® System Helps Colorado State Patrol & BATTLE North Recover Stolen Dodge Durango

The owners of a Dodge Durango contacted the Loveland Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen from them under fraudulent circumstances.
A detective verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Later the same day a Colorado State Patrol trooper picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) in his patrol car. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the trooper tracked the Dodge to a closed auto sales/pawn business in Loveland. An investigator with the CSP attached to the BATTLE-North (Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement) auto theft task force responded.

The Dodge will be returned to the happy owners; undamaged. The suspect has been identified and the case remains under investigation by the Loveland Police Department.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Durango in 2002 at Automotive Avenues in Lakewood, Colorado.
