Acura TSX Stolen in Fairfield, Recovered Undamaged and Abandoned in Richmond, CA

On April 13, 2012, the owner of a 2009 Acura TSX discovered that his vehicle was stolen from where he had parked it in Fairfield. The owner called the Fairfield Police Department and filed a stolen vehicle report.
After completing the report, Fairfield officers had the Acura’s information entered into the state and federal crime computer systems – a routine police action that automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed within the stolen vehicle. Neither the owner nor law enforcement agents had to take any further action to activate the LoJack Vehicle Recovery Network, as LoJack’s interface with the police is both seamless and instantaneous.
Within hours, officers with the Richmond Police Department began receiving the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the visual and audible cues on the tracking computer, the officers tracked and located the stolen Acura, abandoned and undamaged, on the street. The officers quickly recovered the vehicle and contacted the grateful owner, who responded to the scene to retrieve the Acura.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Acura months earlier – in February 2011 in Daly City, CA.
