The owners of a 2015 Mitsubishi Forklift contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Palm Desert Station to report that their Mitsubishi Forklift was stolen from a job site.

Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mitsubishi Forklift.

Within two (2) hours, multiple police agencies were tracking the stolen Mitsubishi Forklift. The Riverside County SO patrol deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Forklift with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and air units. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the stolen forklift to the area of the 3200 block of Cactus Street in the city of Rialto. The forklift was located parked on the street. Officers from the Rialto Police Department, who were also tracking the stolen forklift, responded to the location and recovered the forklift.

The 2015 Mitsubishi Forklift was released to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mitsubishi Forklift in April 2016 via Commercial Sales in Riverside, California.
