The owners of a 2015 Infiniti Q80 contacted the Glendora Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen by unknown suspects. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later the Los Angeles Police Helicopter Air-3 flight officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, Air-3 tracked the Infiniti from the central portion of Hollenbeck area to an industrial area on Meyers St north of 6th St and spotted the vehicle abandoned on the street. Air-3 contacted area units from the Hollenbeck Division who responded and quickly recovered the stolen Infiniti. The Infiniti was stored and held for latent prints per the request of the Glendora PD.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti Q80 in May 2015 at Infiniti Mission Viejo in California.
