LoJack® System Helps New York Police Department Recover a Stolen 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The owner of the Jeep Grand Cherokee parked his car where he normally parks it by his house, when he came out for it in the morning he found it missing. He immediately called the New York Police Department of the 120 precinct; this was in the St George section of Staten Island, NY, confines of the 120 precinct.
When the NYPD officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Jeep, this information was then entered in the city, state and federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Jeep.
A short while later the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer that the police have in their vehicles. This was in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island, confines of the 120 precinct. The signal was tracked to a residential section of Mariners Harbor. The Jeep was located parked on a residential street and the officers decided to stake it out. After a short while when no one came for the Jeep, the officers took it into custody. The Jeep was recovered in good condition with no damage.
The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Jeep was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition, with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Jeep, it was equipped with the LoJack® System, saying he was extremely grateful for that, saying that if it wasn’t for the LoJack the Jeep may never have been recovered.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee in July 2005 at Alhambra Jeep Chrysler Eagle in Alhambra, California.
