The owners of a 2015 Honda Accord contacted the Buena Park Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. The Buena Park PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Only five minutes later officers from the Anaheim Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a residential and commercial area in the city of Anaheim. The officers found the unoccupied Honda parked on the street in front of an apartment complex. The Honda was processed by the Anaheim PD CSI and recovered. No suspects were located at the time of recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in March 2015 at Auto Nation Honda in Costa Mesa, California.
