The owners of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Los Angeles Police Department Devonshire Division to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Ten (10) minutes later, the LAPD Pacific Division patrol officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.   Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to a parking lot in the area of Glencoe and Maxella. The officers made contact with the suspect at the Chevrolet. The suspect was taken into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.

The Chevrolet was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado in July 2015 at Rydell Northridge in California.
