The owner of this Honda contacted the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The Fresno County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

About two hours after the LoJack was activated, a deputy with the Fresno County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputy tracked the Honda to a residential area near Park and Skelton Streets in the city of Selma. The Honda was observed parked on the side of the road unoccupied and abandoned.

The Honda was recovered intact and undamaged; it was released to the owner at the recovery scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda in September 2006 at Honda North in Clovis, California.
