The owners of a 2014 Toyota Camry contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within 17 minutes officers from the Chula Vista Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the area of Interstate 805 and Palm Ave. in Chula Vista. A traffic stop was made; one suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in May 2014 at Toyota Chula Vista in California.
