This Acura TL was stolen during the late evening to early morning hours from the owner’s residence located in the 12700 Block of SE 299th Place in Auburn.

When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Auburn Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Later that afternoon, a King County Sheriff’s Department helicopter (Guardian One), equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Acura was located in the 31600 block of 126th Avenue SE. The Auburn PD units on the ground were notified to make the recovery. It was abandoned and did not appear to be damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura TL in April 2011 by Hinshaw’s Acura in Fife, Washington.
