The owners of a 2015 Toyota Camry contacted the Marysville Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim returned home and discovered her residence had been burglarized. When the suspects fled they took numerous items and fled in the victim’s Camry.
The Marysville PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Sometime later officers from the Yuba City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Camry to an ally to the rear of the Yuba City Post Office. In the ally the officers observed the stolen Camry parked next to a closed business. The officer then observed a male sitting in the driver’s seat. The officer approached and ordered the driver out and took him into custody without incident.
The suspect was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property and also had two felony warrants.
The victim responded to take possession of her stolen Camry and also several items taken in her burglary including a computer printer.

The officers also identified items in the Camry that were taken in three other thefts.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in December 2014 at Roseville Toyota in California.
