The owners of a Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Pomona Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the city of Pomona.
The Pomona PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within 7 minutes, officers from the Escondido Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to the 100 block of La Terraza Blvd. in the city of Escondido. One suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado in June 2003 at Paradise Chevrolet in Ventura, California.
