The owners of a Mitsubishi Eclipse contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mitsubishi.

Later officers from the Denver PD and Greenwood Village Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Eclipse with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC an officer with the Greenwood Village PD tracked the signal to a convenience store.  At that location the officer contacted the person in the Eclipse and made an arrest.  The Mitsubishi was recovered undamaged and was later returned to the very happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mitsubishi Eclipse in January 2010 at Skyline Automotive in Thornton, Colorado.
